Eileen E. Stoudt 1943 - 2021

Eileen E. Stoudt, of Coopersburg, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away in her home on October 20th after a long fight with Alzheimer’s. She was 78.

She was born to Albert and Dorothy Rabert in Trenton, NJ. After graduating from high school, Eileen received her degree in accounting from Bethlehem Business School.

Eileen was selfless and dedicated to her family first and foremost. She loved them unconditionally and especially loved her role as grandmother, or Gram, as she became known.

Long before Julia Roberts was slinging snails in Pretty Woman, Eileen was a master at catapulting scoops of ice cream in the kitchen.

She was strong, kind, loving, and supportive. Her quiet calm and keen intellect made her an excellent listener and wise advisor to her family. Eileen was always the voice of reason.

According to her high school classmates, Eileen was known as an excellent student but her family knew her as an amazing teacher. Whether high school, Sunday school, or anything in between, no subject seemed beyond her. She had a way of explaining things that was easy to understand and was always available as a tutor when any lesson seemed too challenging.

Eileen worked as the Asst. Business Manager and School Board Secretary for Southern Lehigh School District. Working at the District suited her abilities and interests in contributing to the community.

Eileen was a longtime member of Eastern Star, St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church and loved caring for her rescued cats.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard; daughter Barb Harding and husband David, grandson, Ryan Harding of Coopersburg; son Thomas Stoudt and wife Allison of Allentown.
