Elaine L. Muhr December 31, 1936 - July 24, 2025

Elaine L. (Fenstermacher) Muhr, 88, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late William F. Muhr, Sr. Born in Allentown, December 31, 1936, Elaine was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Florence M. (Brong) Fenstermacher. Elaine attended Harrison Morton Junior High School and Allentown High School, where she was a majorette with the award-winning AHS band. She was an active member of the AHS Class of 1954 Reunion Committee. After high school graduation, Elaine worked for the Allentown School District as both a secretary at Wilson Elementary School and an administrative assistant to the superintendent and his staff. Elaine and her husband were long-time members of Mink Pond Club in the mountains of Bushkill. Elaine’s passion was spending time with her family, particularly her five grandchildren, attending their sporting events and social gatherings. She loved the time together with her friends at local Allentown restaurants. Elaine cherished her vacation home on Long Beach Island, NJ, where she would spend the majority of the summer months.

Survivors: sons, Dr. William F. Muhr, Jr., and his wife, Kathleen of St. Petersburg, FL, Gregory T. Muhr and his wife, Jill of Allentown; grandchildren, Matthew (Kelsey), Billy (Lindsey), Ava, Zachary (Monica), Jeremy (Allison); great grandson, Liam.

Service: A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30- 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.stephensfuneral.com.
