Eugene H. Gilbert September 29, 1942 - April 10, 2025

Eugene H. “Butch” Gilbert, 82, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, surrounded by family. He was the husband of the late Bonnie J. (Xander). Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Pearl I. (Nichol) and Humphrey G. W. Gilbert. A 1960 graduate of Dieruff High School, he then served with the Navy during the Vietnam War as a CTR3 in the naval security group. Butch was employed at Wells Fargo as a computer operator for 35 years. He was a family man who enjoyed fishing, working in his garage, spending time at the dude ranch, and being the family handyman.

Survivors: daughter, Becky; sons, Greg, Kevin (and wife, Kim); grandson, Gregory; great granddaughter, Karli; brother, Tim (and wife, Pat); sister-in-law, Debra Roulston; nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by son, Ryan, and sisters, Rachel Smith and Lucille Reitmeir.

Services: 2PM Thursday at STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown. Call 1PM until service time. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
