Everett C. Johnson August 24, 1941 - April 21, 2022

Everett C. Johnson, 80, of Macungie, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, in his home. The husband of Carol E. (Snyder) Johnson, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in August 2021. Born in Mineola, Long Island, NY, he was a son of the late Loyal Robert and Madeline Margaret (Ramsauer) Johnson. A graduate of Bel Air H.S. in Bel Air, MD, he attended Georgia Technical Institute and received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Baltimore. Everett worked for Air Products & Chemicals for 27 years, as an Accountant, then Benefits Specialist. He was Horticultural Services Manager for Joanne Kostecky Garden Design for 6 years. A member of the Lower Lehigh Lions Club, he served as Treasurer since 2003. A tenor, Everett sang with Allentown’s Masterworks Chorale and Camerata Singers, was a longtime member of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem, and a board member of Allentown Community Concerts. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Phoebe Home, Zionsville Area Food Pantry, and Macungie Park Association. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed travel, jigsaw puzzles, and following local high school and collegiate basketball. A lifelong baseball fan, Everett volunteered for the L.V. IronPigs since 2009 and had an extensive baseball card collection.

Survivors: Wife, Carol; Daughter: Leslie A. Knowlton and her husband Jeffrey of Philadelphia; Son: Bryan C. Johnson of Macungie; Brother: Marshall B. Johnson of Mechanicsville, VA; Sister: Audrey L. Beale of Columbus, OH. Everett was predeceased by a brother Robert E. Johnson.
