Frances J. Miller September 14, 1943 - June 10, 2025

Frances J. Miller, 81, of Allentown, passed away surrounded by loved ones at her residence on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Born in Delaware, Frances was the daughter of the late Sesto J. and Josephine I. (Zepetski, Lucernoni) Berkant, and stepfather Joseph Berkant. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert I.Miller, with whom she shared almost 60 years of marriage. Frances was a proud wife and mother, raising three children and creating a loving home. After the children were grown, she found immense fulfillment in her work at Country Meadows Retirement Center in the memory care unit, where her compassionate nature touched many lives.
Frances enjoyed shopping with her daughter Michele, morning coffee with best friend and neighbor Sandy, spending time at daughter Karen’s Lake house in North Carolina, playing bingo with friends and visiting her out-of-state relatives. She took great joy in being a mother and grandmother, cherishing the time spent with her family.
Frances is survived by son Robert I. Miller Jr. and wife Jennifer Squillace-Miller of Jim Thorpe, daughters Michele A. Miller and husband David P. Roth of Northampton, and Karen A. Cornell and husband Brian E. Cornell of Raleigh NC. She is also survived by her sister Sylvia Gubbe and husband Larry Gubbe, brother-in-law Steve Strecky and wife Loretta Strecky, and sister-in-law Dorothy Lucernoni. Frances was predeceased by her siblings: Sesto “Sam” Lucernoni, Anthony Lucernoni, and Louise Strecky. Frances is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Cornell, Caitlyn Cornell, Nicholas Miller, and Rachael Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown, PA 18106 at 11:00 AM. A Calling Hour will be held from 10-11 prior to the service.
