Gary J.C. Moyer October 3, 1951 - May 28, 2025

Gary J.C. Moyer, 73, of Allentown passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was the husband of Thelma S. (Crouse) Moyer, the love of his life, whom he was married to for 45 years. Born in Allentown, son of the late Glenn R. and Jean M. (Thompson) Moyer. Gary was a 1969 graduate of William Allen High School and then graduated from East Stroudsburg University. He honorably served with the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam era. Gary was a Real Estate Appraiser and retired from his own business in 2020. He also worked as a Real Estate Broker and an airline attendant. Gary was an active member of Asbury U.M. Church, Allentown. He loved to be healthy in various forms of exercise from swimming to Yoga and Pilates. Gary enjoyed jumping on the trampoline with his granddaughters and various other activities, scuba diving, doing headstands around the world, playing guitar, and listening to music. He loved learning and exploration, reading and listening to audiobooks and collecting antiques, like turn of the century mouse traps. He most enjoyed bringing happiness to others and getting smiles from all. He was well-known for telling jokes everywhere he went, and was part of the “Home Groan Puns” online group. Above all, he loved his family passionately and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by: Wife: Thelma; Daughter: Jennifer Moyer; Son: Adam Moyer; Grandchildren: Phoenix Moyer and Taylor Moyer; Sisters: Marguerite Morrison and Mary Claire Meltzer and husband Greg; Brothers: Kevin Moyer, Phillip Moyer and his wife Karen, George Motter and his wife Michelle; Mother-in-Law: Carol Crouse; Brother-in-Law: Kevin Crouse. Gary is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Glenn Rothenberger, Drew Moyer and Kate Lewis.
