Gene K. Richards November 7, 1936 - February 20, 2021

Gene K. Richards, 84, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021.  Born Eugene L. Klucharich in Allentown, Gene was the son of the late Adolph and Teresa Klucharich.  He graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and worked as an English teacher in Philadelphia, Whitehall, and New Jersey, and served in the Army National Guard.  He later worked in sales for the Bell System and AT&T, and then in home repair, but he eventually returned to teaching.  Gene was a life-long storyteller and writer of short stories, novels, and music lyrics.  Survivors: Gene is survived by his son, Kyle Richards of Westfield, NJ; daughter, Laura Richards of Santa Monica, CA; sister, Joan Myers of Winter Springs, FL; brother, Robert J. Klucharich of Kutztown; and his 3 grandsons, Dylan, Aidan, and Dean Richards.  Services: Private.  Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, Inc.
