George E. Stringer February 12, 1936 - November 24, 2021

George E. Stringer, 85, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, in Complete Care at Lehigh, Macungie. He was the husband of Patricia L. (White) Stringer. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in September 2021. Born in Weymouth, MA, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Marion E. (Philbrick) Stringer. George was a veteran with the US Army. He was a manager for IBM Corp. for 32 ½ years before retiring in 1993. He took many specialized college programs for IBM. After retiring, George became an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and enjoyed preparing taxes. He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown. George enjoyed working on computers, reading, music, exercising, and teaching (especially tax classes).

Survivors: Wife, Patricia; Son: Jeffrey Stringer (Stacey) of New Windsor, NY; Daughters: Debi Burkholder (John) of Allentown, Laura Grafe (Chris) of Middletown, NY; Grandchildren: Zachary Stringer of Tucson, AZ, Shannon and Tyler Burkholder of Allentown, Eric and Nikolas Grafe of Middletown, NY, Nicole and Julia Stribula of Macungie; Brother: Stephen Stringer of Norwell, MA. George was predeceased by his brother Richard Stringer.
