Grace H. Frey February 26, 1918 - April 27, 2018

Grace H. Frey, 100, formerly of Coopersburg, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 in Phoebe Richland. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Frey. Born in Coopersburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Mayme (Krum) Kiess. Grace was the oldest baptized member of St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg, where she was a member of the church choir, the Alter Guild and a volunteer at the soup kitchen. She also co-taught Sunday School with her husband Harold. Grace was a member of the former St. John’s Union Church, Coopersburg where she was a Sunday Nursery School Teacher and the Superintendent of the Primary Department. Grace was a Charter Member of the Coopersburg Historical Society. She had a love of flowers and will be remembered for the floral arrangements she shared with her neighbors. Grace will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Her family would like to thank the staff of Phoebe Richland for all the loving care and support they provided her.

Survivors: Son: Harold E. Frey, Jr. and his wife Maija of Kitchner, Ontario; Grandchildren: Christopher Frey and Jennifer Diamond; Great-grandchildren: Erin, Brooke, Karissa and Jacob; Sisters: Thelma M. “Hap” Kiess of Coopersburg, Lucille K. Layman of East Windsor, CT. Grace is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna Hassler and Pearl Pechacek.

Services: A memorial service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 4th. Friends and family may call from 10:30 – 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church.
