Grace R. Steckel July 14, 1938 - October 16, 2025

Grace R Steckel, age 87 of Allentown PA, died October 16, 2025, at Phoebe Nursing Home.  Grace was the daughter of Charles & Emma Steckel.  Born in Allentown, Grace lived in the Allentown and Philadelphia areas.  She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Villanova University, and Our Lady of Angels College.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary RC Church in Whitehall, PA.

Grace was sister of St. Francis for 25 years.  She taught English at Central Catholic High School for many years.  She also worked for the University of Penn, and the Diocese of Allentown.

She is survived by brothers and sisters – John Steckel, husband of Nancy, Indian Land, SC; Vince Steckel, Sykesville, MD; Agnes Toolan, wife of Jim, Macungie, PA; Kitty Kovacs, wife of John, West Chester, PA; Peg Roth, wife of Steve, Allentown, PA; Regina Hausman, wife of Dave, Allentown, PA;  She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Steckel and Ivette Steckel, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Mary, her brothers Charlie, Joe, and Duke, and Steve, and her sisters-in-law Agnes Gormley Steckel and Joanne Steckel.
