David Marsh August 31, 1929 - July 18, 2018

David Marsh, 88, formerly of Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Saucon Valley Manor. He was the husband of Nancy C. (Hensinger) Marsh. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in April 2018. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Vernon W. and Verna A. (Bergenstock) Marsh. David was a graduate of Allentown H.S. He was a service foreman for Bell Telephone Co. in Allentown and also worked for West Jersey Bell in Belvidere, NJ as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Marsh was the City Manager for Emmaus Borough and was Assistant City Manager of Northampton Borough. He also worked for A-1 Answering Service and was a driver for Leibensperger Transportation. David was a member of the Emmaus Optimist Club and was a past Lt. Governor and Governor of the Optimist Club of Eastern PA/Delaware Region District. He was a 32nd degree Mason and also a Shriner. Mr. Marsh received the PA Bell Telephone outstanding citizen “Man of the Year” award in 1956. He served as a youth league baseball and football coach. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and adult softball.

Survivors: Wife, Nancy; Sons: David and his wife Patricia of Lake Wales, FL, Donald and his wife Pamela of Hillsborough, NJ; Daughter: Carol Harris and her husband Jorge of Paoli; Daughter-In-Law: Sandra Marsh formerly of Alburtis; Grandchildren: 8; Great-grandchildren: 7. David was predeceased by a son Kenneth and by a brother Kenneth.
