Higinio Caballero January 11, 1945 - November 1, 2018

Higinio Caballero, 73, of Allentown passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown Campus.  He was the husband of Esther (Lopez) Caballero.  They were married in 1975.  Higinio was born in Antofagasta, Chile a son of the late Higinio and Adela (Reinoso) Caballero.  He was employed by the Parks Department of New York City for many years before retiring in 2001.  Higinio was a caring person who always enjoyed helping others.

Survivors: Wife; children, Bernardo Irizarry of Buffalo, NY, Margie Caballero of New York City, Rosemary Irizarry of Allentown,  Jose Velazquez of Allentown, Ricardo Velazquez of New York City; grandchildren, Julio, Rick, Haskiri, Joshua, Roderick, Nathaly and other family members in Chile.

Services: A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5:30 – 8:30 P.M. Monday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown.  Interment will be in the St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. www.stephensfuneral.com.
