Hugh Edward Ferry, Jr. June 25, 1944 - September 22, 2024

Hugh Edward “Ed” Ferry, Jr., 80, of Macungie, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. He and his wife, Susan H. (Rugg), celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Loretta (Howells) and Hugh Edward Ferry, Sr. He was a 1962 graduate of William Allen High School, a 1963 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and a 1965 graduate of Wesley College and competed in basketball at all three schools. Ed was employed in the purchasing department for 33 years at Mack Trucks, Inc., then for seven years as an operations manager at Allentown Valve & Fitting. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing and enjoyed tinkering in his woodworking shop.

Survivors: wife; daughters, Karen Brion and husband, Tim, Diana Dumpel and husband, Dave, Lisa Williams and husband, Chris; brother, Pete; eight grandchildren; nieces; cousins.

Services: A private ceremony will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Stephens Funeral Home, Inc.
