Ina S. Scimeca October 16, 1937 - June 17, 2021

Ina S. Scimeca of Lower Macungie passed away peacefully on June 17th. She was 83 years young!

Ina was born on October 16th, 1937 in Norfolk, Virginia. Throughout her life, she remained young at heart and was often told that she didn’t look her age which she loved hearing! She was vibrant, spunky and fun loving with a great sense of humor.

Over the years, Ina was a furniture salesperson, Avon Lady, and eyeglass salesperson. She loved people and loved to talk which made her the ultimate salesperson.

After graduating high school, Ina attended business school and worked as an administrative assistant for her father who was a lawyer in Norfolk. Ina was the apple of her Father’s eye, and she had a close relationship with him and her mother throughout their lives.

Ina’s passions besides being with family were her precious Yorkies, golf, playing bridge and Yahtzee and watching sports, especially football. She was an armchair quarterback and always enjoyed analyzing the games the following day.

She also generously spent time volunteering at several organizations including Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, Humane Society and Perfect Fit.
Ina was not tall in stature, barely 5 feet tall, but she had a warrior spirit and overcame many obstacles over the years. Her doctor dubbed her “The Energizer Bunny.” She had a true zest for life and was always up for an adventure. She was a real “spitfire.”
