James Alan “Jim” Overholt, 71, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Easton, Pennsylvania in August 1954, Jim lived a spirited life filled with energy, laughter, and love.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Norma Overholt; son James Alan Overholt, Jr. (wife Jess); stepdaughter Shannon Hughes (husband Michael); stepson Carlos Ortiz; brother Warren Overholt (wife Lorna); sister Linda Barber; nephew Jeffrey Coleman; great-niece Carissa Coleman; niece Tameka Coleman; nephew Steven Overholt; niece Kimberly Tsihlis; and goddaughter Bella. He was especially fond of his “grandpup,” Buddy.

Jim worked as an owner/operator for Allied Van Lines, later as a dispatcher, and served proudly as a Teamsters Steward. He will be remembered as a loving husband, strong advocate, and a man with a big heart.

Per his wishes, no service will be held. The family welcomes flowers and plants to their home as a tribute.
