James P. Southard February 23, 1970 - October 5, 2023

James P. Southard, 53, of Breinigsville PA, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. James is survived by his wife, Irene M. (Dlugozima-Tyson), sons, Thomas C. Southard and John W. Southard, stepson, Connor M. Tyson, stepdaughter, Caralyn P. Tyson, parents, Cheryl and David Southard, Sr., of Fort Myers FL, siblings, David Southard, Jr., Tracey Anderson and Michael Southard, and many nieces and nephews.

James was born on February 23, 1970, in Livingston NJ. He graduated from Dover High School in 1988 and went on to attend Morris County Vocational School for Art.

James worked predominantly in fiber optic communications before working as a production technician for Air Liquids Advanced Materials.

James participated in many Spartan Races and Tough Mudders over the years where he had found a passion for pushing his body physically to its limit. He followed his grandfather’s footsteps in becoming a volunteer firefighter for many years and received the Board of Chiefs Award for Outstanding Firefighter of the Year for the Nottingham Volunteer Fire Company in 1998. He had a love of playing pool, darts and poker.

James was an amazing father who loved his boys and stepchildren deeply. His love, spirit, compassion, and humor are missed deeply by family and friends.
