Joan F. Lesnett April 29, 1933 - January 17, 2026

Joan F. (Martell) Lesnett, 92, formerly of St. Augustine, Florida and Harleysville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Inpatient Hospice Unit in Allentown. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Lesnett.

Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on April 29, 1933, Joan was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (McNamara) Martell. She devoted many years of service as a caring school bus driver for the Souderton Area School District, retiring in 1988 after 15 years. While living in Massachusetts, she was also a proud member of the Eastern Star.

Joan will be remembered for her warmth, dedication to family, and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her children: Beverly J. Moyer (Gus) of Coopersburg; Bonnie L. Stevens (Jeffrey) of Reading; George M. Lesnett (Laura); and Glen A. Lesnett (Felicia) of Coventry, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her siblings: Grace Calileo of New Hampshire; Kenneth Martell of Massachusetts; and Charles Frederick Martell (Cindy) of New Hampshire.

She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kyle, Kevin, and Jason Moyer; Nicholas and Scott Stevens; Gabrielle Bennett and Ethan Lesnett; George Andrew Lesnett; and MaryKate Lesnett as well as 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Joan was predeceased by her siblings: Harry Martell, Ronald Martell, Barbara Young, William Martell, Dorothy Barry, Marilyn Futch, Rosalie Plaag, and Alan Martell.
