John M. Neill October 22, 1946 - February 27, 2021
John Mitchell Neill, 74, of Kutztown, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of Claire (Berndt) Burns-Neill. Born October 22, 1946, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he was a son of the late Adam and Isobel Neill. John was a Royal Engineer in the British Armed Forces and a mason with the Ancient St. John’s Lodge No. 3, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He was the senior drum major judge for Celtic Classic for 28 years and was a judge for the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association. He was a spectacular soccer player and competed in Ireland, Canada and the United States. He owned J. M. Neill Contracting and built homes for Lennar Construction. John retired after enduring a work injury in 2008 and devoted the rest of his life to making his wife and family happy. He will be missed. Survivors: wife; daughter, Maureen Neill Sousa, Ontario, Canada; son, Steven Neill, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Holly and Sean Black, Zane Neill, Canada; brother, Norman and wife, Margaret, Belfast; sister, Maureen McBride, British Colombia; stepchildren, Amanda Sedora, Jessica Kunkle, Rebecca Molloy, Murphy Burns; seven step grandchildren.
