John P. Gilboy, Jr. November 30, 1950 - July 26, 2021

John P. Gilboy, Jr., 70, of Allentown, was welcomed home by his Savior, on July 26, 2021, after a long battle with Waldenstrom Lymphoma and Amyloidosis. He was the husband of Susan (Steinke) Gilboy. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Pauline (Ruff) and John P. Gilboy, Sr. John graduated from Allentown Central Catholic H.S. and received his B.S. in Business and Finance from Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland. John was a car dealer and owner of Gilboy Ford in Whitehall. John’s father, started Gilboy Ford in 1953. John, Jr. has worked there since 1964. John was a past president of L.V. Auto Association and was an avid motorcyclist. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Allentown. John was also a current member of Lake Winola Cottagers Assoc.

Survivors: Wife, Susan; Son: John T. Gilboy and his wife Janine L. of Macungie; Daughter: Taryn E. Gilboy of Whitehall; Grandchildren: Aidan Gilboy, Nicolas Gilboy, Keira Gilboy, Gabriel Delgadillo; Siblings: Nancy G. and her husband Dr. Fred Wyman, Maryland, Kevin P. and his wife Mary Beth R. Gilboy of Narberth, PA, Sharon G. and her husband Raymond Smith of Emmaus. John is also survived by many nephews and a niece.
