John S. Weaver July 28, 1938 - March 28, 2026

John S. Weaver, 87, of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Cedar Crest Post Acute Care.  Born July 28, 1938, he was the son of William and Alice Weaver.  He was the husband of Sallie (Bentelspacher) Weaver, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.  John worked as a case worker for the Department of Welfare, Lehigh County.  He also worked several jobs as a cook, including Daybreak, Albright College, and the Salvation Army Camp.  John was a devoted and dedicated member of the Salvation Army.  John lent his time and talents to the Boy Scouts of America where he volunteered as a scout leader.  He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Danielsville, PA.  He enjoyed family vacations to Cape May, NJ.

In addition to his wife Sallie, John is survived by a son, Brian Pollitt (Deniele), brother Bill Weaver, and grandchildren Jennifer (Russell), Thomas, and Rachael, and great-grandson John. He was predeceased by his sister, Judy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Calling Hours will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. at Salem UMC, 1067 Blue Mountain Road, Danielsville. PA 18038.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to church.
