Jorge Mora March 12, 1943 - July 25, 2025

Jorge “Lupo” Mora, 82, of Allentown, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Jorge was born in Manta, a coastal town in Ecuador. From a young age, he dreamed of seeing the world and began his career as a merchant marine in his early twenties. During his time as a merchant marine, he traveled extensively and even lived in Europe for a while. In 1970, he married Flor Lucio, who is also from Manta. Together they migrated to the United States and began their family life in The Bronx NY. They moved their entire family to Allentown in 1990. They shared 54 wonderful years of marriage, raising four children and welcoming eight grandchildren and one great grandson. Jorge took immense pride in the family and the life they built together.

After retirement, Jorge enjoyed spending time at home with his wife and family. He was an avid soccer fan but could also be found cheering for the New York Yankees, Knicks and Giants alongside his sons. He loved to dance, particularly salsa, and had a fondness for good scotch. His passion for the beach and travel were something he passed down to all his children and grandchildren.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Flor Lucio De Mora, his children, Jorge W. Mora and his wife, Tammy, along with their children, Gabriela, Samantha, Clarissa, Isabel, Julissa, and Jorge (JJ), Marlon Mora and his wife, Leena, along with their children, Ella and Marlon, Kathy Mora, and Yamilee Mora. He is also survived by his great grandson, Jonathan.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 9 AM Saturday, August 2nd, Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 1825 W. Turner St. Call 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM in HEINTZELMAN – STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, P. C., 274 N. Krocks Rd. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
