Joyce Elizabeth Yeakel September 14, 1930 - December 22, 2024

Joyce E. Yeakel, 94, of L. Macungie Twp., passed away peacefully Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Salisbury after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Kenneth H. Yeakel. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Marion A. (Kehm) and Vernon R. Stoudt. She was a graduate of Emmaus High School and the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. Joyce spent her entire 40 year nursing career at the Allentown Hospital in labor and delivery where she was head nurse for 15 years. She was a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church where she had many dear friends. She was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan and enjoyed Monday morning quarterbacking with Dale and her friend, Dottie.

Survivors: daughter, Nancy Gillette and husband, Michael; son, Dale; stepson, Kenneth H. Yeakel, Jr. and wife, Marianne; granddaughters, Stephanie, Lauren and Valerie and spouses; three great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Wolford; many nieces and nephews.
