Julius Ernst August 23, 1927 - December 31, 2017

Julius Ernst, 90, formerly of Emmaus, Red Hill and Allentown, passed away, Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Twp. He was the loving husband of Doris M. (Hess) Ernst since 1950. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Johanna (Preininger) Ernst. Julius was a graduate of Allentown H.S., Class of 1946. He worked at Lehigh Valley Dairy for 38 years a driver salesman and later in-plant, before retiring in 1989. Julius served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ernst was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

Survivors: Wife, Doris; Estranged Son, David, granddaughter, Jennifer and great grandson; Niece: Ellisa Hoffman (Stephen) of Bethlehem; Nephews: William Snyder (Linda) of Allentown, Daniel Hess (Sharon) of Allentown, Stephen Hess (Susan) of West Chester, Ernst Fiedler (Suzelle) of Frederick, MD; Julius is also survived by great nieces, great nephews and great great nephews and a sister-in-law, Marlene Hess of Coplay. Julius was predeceased by a son Wayne in 1989 and a sister Gisella Fiedler in 2013.
