June S. Wentz June 9, 1929 - April 9, 2021

June S. Wentz, 91, of Luther Crest, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Jack N. Wentz, Sr. June was born in Northampton, a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Nora E. (Wolfgang) Shoemaker. She was valedictorian of the Northampton High School Class of 1947. June graduated from Temple University in 1951 with a BA in Biology and received a Master of Nursing degree from Yale University School of Nursing in 1954. June began her career as a science and pharmacology instructor at St. Luke’s Nursing School in Bethlehem.  She was the school nurse at the St. Theresa, Wolf Elementary, Saucon Valley Junior High and High Schools in Hellertown; retiring in 1991. June was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fogelsville. She had a passion for music and enjoyed singing on the church choir and at Luther Crest. June was active as a volunteer EMT for the Upper Saucon Ambulance Corp. She was an active resident and volunteer at Luther Crest. She loved gardening, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors: Son, Jack N. Wentz, Jr. and his wife Martha J. Nagy-Wentz of Nashua, NH; daughter, Jessica L. Wentz and her husband Andrew P. Trump of Kingman, AZ; sister, Barbara A. Pany and her husband Edward A. Pany of Northampton; granddaughter, Erika H. Wentz.
