Kay L. Hertzog June 10, 1943 - January 13, 2022

Kay L. Hertzog, 78, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, in L.V. Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the wife of Paul F. “Skip” Hertzog, Jr. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in July 2021. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Arlene (Deisher) Gressler. Kay was a graduate of William Allen HS, class of 1961. She worked in the credit department at Day-Timer, Inc. for over 20 years. Previously, Kay worked as a Dietary Supervisor at the Allentown General Hospital. She started working at the hospital as a student and left in 1973. She also worked part-time at Clymer’s Carousel Children’s Clothing Store. Kay was a long-time member of the former Salem U.M. Church and is a current member of Asbury U.M. Church, both in Allentown.

Survivors: husband, Skip; Son: Paul F. “Buddy” Hertzog III and his wife Patricia of Alburtis; Daughter: Kelly L. VanDerheyden and her husband Robert of Kunkletown; Grandchildren: Uriah J. Hertzog and his fiancé Erika, Patrick D. Hertzog and his fiancé Devin, Tyler B. VanDerheyden, Evelyn L. VanDerheyden; Great-granddaughter: Paisley; Great-grandson: Ziggy; Sisters: Sandra Salway of Los Cruces, NM, Carlene Moyer of Trexlertown; step-mother, Daisy Gressler of Newfoundland, PA. Kay is also survived by nieces and nephews.
