Kenneth E. Banzhof, VMD October 2, 1947 - February 24, 2018

Kenneth E. Banzhof, VMD, 70, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of MaryAnne (Wreski) Banzhof. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in August 2017. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Kenneth C. and Mary E. (Wetten) Banzhof. Kenneth was a graduate of Delaware Valley College in Doylestown and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Kenneth owned and operated Maple Hills Veterinary Hospital for over 40 years and practiced veterinary medicine for 44 years. He specialized in small animals and exotics.  He had a special love and talent for orthopaedic surgery.  Dr. B., as he was known at Maple Hills, truly loved his profession and always said, “I have the best job in the world.”  He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Veterinary Medical Association, the PA Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.  He was also a member of the Episcopal Church of the Mediator, Allentown.

He is survived by: Wife, MaryAnne; Daughters: Dr. Abigail Banzhof Blythe of Center Valley, Dr. Rebecca Banzhof Michels and her husband Damon of Villanova, Dr. Jennifer Banzhof Donohue and her husband Michael of Center Valley; Grandchildren: Alexandra, Ryan, Gavin, Ansley, Kayla, Ava, Maya; Sister: Margaret E. Meade and her husband James of Ellicott City, MD. Dr. B. is also survived by 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses, 3 miniature donkeys and 14 chickens.

Services: 1 pm Friday, Episcopal Church of the Mediator, 1620 W. Turner St., Allentown, 18102. Call 12 – 1 pm Friday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
