Leslie C. Barber August 18, 1931 - April 22, 2022

Leslie C. Barber, 90, formerly of Allentown, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, in Heather Glen Senior Living.  He was the husband of Ruth A. (Wasser) Barber. They would have been married for 70 years this October. Leslie was born in Joliet, Illinois, a son of the late Eben J. and Ruth L. (Anderson) Barber. He was a graduate of Allentown H.S. Leslie was a purchasing agent for Caloric of Topton for many years before retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Leslie was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, where he served as the church treasurer for over 40 years. He was member of American Legion Post #576.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Deborah A. and her husband James V. Smith, Linda L. and her husband Mark N. Held, all of Allentown; sons, Robert J. and his wife Cecily S. Barber of Fayetteville, PA, Thomas A. and his wife Julie K. Barber of West Chester, OH; brother, Kenneth B. and his wife Patricia E. Barber of Middletown, NJ; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services: 11 am Thursday in the Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Call 10 – 11 am Thursday in the church. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
