Linda S. (Jefry) Mericle April 23, 1940 - August 7, 2018

Linda S. Mericle, 78, of Upper Saucon Twp., formerly of Lake Shawnee, Morris County, NJ, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of Mack R. Mericle. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on August 4th. Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Jefry and Laura Virginia (Lucas) Jefry-Glidewell. Linda received her B.A. in Art Education from Butler University, Indianapolis, IN. She was a realtor with Coldwell Banker in Chester, NJ for 25 years before retiring in 2008. Previously, she was an elementary school Art Teacher for 15 years, including Hilltop Montessori School in Sparta, NJ. Linda was an active fundraiser, organizing and directing numerous Philanthropic Art Shows and Strauss Balls. She was a talented artist, seamstress, home decorator, hostess and loyal friend to many. Mrs. Mericle was an avid world traveler. She was active in church choirs, including First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, NJ, Masterworks Chorus in Morristown, NJ, performing in Carnegie Hall annually and most recently performing in and as an active board member and fundraiser for Camerata Singers of Upper Saucon Twp. Additionally, she worked as a volunteer at DeSales Shakespeare Theater. Linda was a devoted wife, mother to 2 daughters and grandmother to 5 grandchildren.
Survivors: Husband, Mack; Daughters: Dianna L. Mericle-Bozzo and her husband Victor A. Bozzo of Ringoes, NJ and their children, Rebecca, Christian, Hayden, Heather A. Cecco and her husband Vic J. Cecco of Montville, NJ and their children John and Nicholas. Siblings: Paul Jefry in Indiana, Pam Murphy in Virginia, Russel Glidewell in Georgia, Charlotte Chaison of California.
