Lois A. Lovis April 13, 1934 - January 14, 2025

Lois A. Lovis of Allentown, died peacefully on January 14, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Wilson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Florence Pletcher of Youngstown, NY and Allentown, PA. She was the wife of the late John B. Lovis.
A graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business School in Buffalo, NY, she was employed at Bell Aircraft in Niagara Falls before relocating to the Lehigh Valley. She later served as a secretary at Rodale Press in Emmaus and Office Manager for the Lehigh Valley Velodrome before retiring in June 1995. With encouragement from her husband, she learned to ski at age 60 and enjoyed the many years they traveled together in retirement. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Allentown and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Lois is survived by her daughter Tobi Paige and husband James of Crozet, VA, son Christopher Brown and wife Jennifer of Salisbury Township, Allentown; four grandchildren Kylie (Paige) Patel and husband Paras, Logan Paige and wife Beth, Tyler Brown and wife Tiffani, and Derek Brown; three great grandchildren Asha Patel, Ravi Patel, and Ryler Brown. She was predeceased by her first husband James Brown of Allentown, and older siblings Robert Heidenfeldt of Hilo, Hawaii and Dora Buchner of Denver, CO.
A Memorial Service will be held at Crest Hall Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Rd., Allentown, PA 18104 on Saturday, January 25th. Calling hours from 10:00AM – 11:00AM, with services starting promptly at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, an organization Lois actively supported for many years or First Presbyterian Church Allentown.
