Lorraine M. Durrell July 27, 1934 - July 10, 2025

Lorraine M. (Ouellette) Durrell, 90, formerly of Melbourne FL and Harrisburg PA area, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Country Meadows, Allentown where she had been residing. She was the wife of James L. Durrell, to whom she was married 67 years this past May. Born in Richmond, Vermont, on July 27, 1934, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Alfred Joseph and Helen Marion (Woodworth) Ouellette. For several years, Lorraine worked at Fulton Bank before retiring. As an active volunteer, Lorraine loved helping others, specifically with her husband, Jim, hosting marriage preparation counseling.  In addition, she loved sewing, quilting, and was an avid reader. Lorraine was a former active member and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Jim; daughters, Judith M. Durrell of Harrisburg, Linda J. Klostermann and her husband, Larry of Springfield KY, Mary P. Syslo and her husband, Mark of Coplay; son, James L. Durrell and his wife, Cindy of Pittsburgh; sister, Jean Ouellette (Sr. Jean Lasalette) of Philadelphia; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; predeceased by 4 brothers.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main Street, (Egypt) Whitehall, with the Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky as Celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the church. The Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
