Louis J. Englert January 14, 1932 - September 17, 2023

Louis J. Englert 91, of Whitehall passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of the late Lois Ann (Camp) Englert. Louis was born in Allentown, a son of the late Louis A. and Mary C. (Kuebler) Englert. He co-owned and operated Louis Englert General Contractors for many years before retiring. After retirement he was employed as a Court Cryer for Lehigh County for five years and as a courier for Omega Medical Labs and Embassy Bank. In his spare time, he delivered American flags for Elwood Anthony.  Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, which he and family helped construct as well as the school.  He was a life member of the Fullerton Fire Company. Louis had his own Dixieland band in which he played the trombone. He was an avid bowler and recorded a 300 game. Louis enjoyed watching the Game Show Network. He had a passion for the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Central Catholic sports. Louis was a kind and gentle soul whom everyone loved.

Survivors: Son, Louis D. and his wife Jane Englert of Ephrata, PA; daughters, Diane E. Keller and her companion Al Peasley of Huntingtown, MD, Suzanne wife of Michael Lahanas of Allentown, Kathleen wife of Richard Miller of Lancaster, PA; sister, Elizabeth Kloiber of Allentown; grandchildren, Killian and his wife Cynthia, Katelyn and her husband Kenny, Veronica and her husband AJ, Demitri, Noah and Colin; great grandsons, Marcus and Simon.  He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph L. Englert, Paul E. Englert and Anna F. Schrammel.

Services: A gravesite service to celebrate Louis’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 22nd at the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown with military honors. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
