Lucille “Rusty” Joan Sotzing August 12, 1949 - November 2, 2021

Lucille “Rusty” Joan Sotzing, 72, of Bear, Delaware, passed away November 2, 2021, in her home. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Maxine Mae (Kunkle) and Carl Emil Ebeling, Jr. Graduated in 1967 from Liberty H. S., Rusty received a BS degree at Mansfield State College in 1971. She was a Home Economics teacher at Nitschmann and East Hills Middle Schools in the BASD spanning over 30 years retiring in 2008. She was leader of the East Hills M. S. Marching Band Color Guard for many years leading up to retirement. She was a past member of First Baptist Church in Bethlehem where she enjoyed playing with the bell choir. Rusty made sure to attend as many of her grandchildren’s sporting events as possible and always enjoyed playing board games and card games with her grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughters: Jennifer L. Reno and her husband Louis Reno, grandchildren Aiden, Maci and Cole all of Newark, DE and Andrea J. Sotzing and her husband Scott Cuomo of Blackwood, NJ; Sister: Linda J. Weaver of Fogelsville; Rusty has many nieces and nephews. She was married to and divorced from John R. Sotzing. Rusty was predeceased by her sister Carlene M. Sayenga, her brother-in-law Donald Sayenga and her brother-in-law Walter Weaver, Jr.

Service in celebration of life will take place at a later date. Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
