Marilyn June Clymer July 2, 1929 - January 12, 2026

Marilyn June Clymer, 96, of Allentown, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born July 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (Kunkel) Ziegler and Stanley Ziegler. Marilyn was a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church; she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. Marilyn was the wife of Paul K. Clymer, Jr., until his passing in 1985. They owned Clymer’s Carousel children’s clothing shops from 1961 to 1989. They operated eight stores throughout the Lehigh Valley. Marilyn enjoyed traveling with Paul; they visited many places including Hawaii, Europe, and Florida. Marilyn had a passion for sports, was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, played tennis until she was 88, and worked out at LA Fitness well into her 90’s. She took pride in taking care of her home and flower garden. Above all, Marilyn loved her family and regularly prepared delicious prime rib Sunday dinners for everyone.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Larry P. Clymer (Elaine), Linda G. Perilla, and Carol D. Clymer, sister Nancy Taylor, grandchildren Cori, Angela, Tony, Julie, Melissa, Dana, Erica, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Tony, Ava, Riley, Nolan, Duke, Everest, and Vivia. She was predeceased by her son Lee A. Clymer, sisters Marjorie Kauffman, Miriam Spang, Betty Wetherhold, and son-in-law Tony Perilla.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown, PA 18106. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
