Mark A. Kapfhammer November 12, 1968 - June 10, 2023
Mark A. Kapfhammer, 54, of Allentown, PA, passed away suddenly but peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2023, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA. He was the husband of
Karen A. (Schreiber) Kapfhammer. They celebrated their 14 th wedding anniversary in October 2022, and have been together for over 20 years. Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of Barbara L. (Vaughan) Kapfhammer of Jupiter, FL and the late Joseph K. Kapfhammer. Mark was a flooring installer for over 25 years and a self-employed handyman for many years. He was a caring, loving, and generous man willing to help family, friends, and neighbors with anything they needed. Mark had many interests including learning to cook, gardening (he won seven 1 st and 2nd place ribbons for his vegetables at the Great Allentown Fair), home improvement, and enjoyed playing many sports including snowboarding in Colorado and at Blue Mountain in PA. He played trumpet in school and had been a member of the American Disc Golf Association. Mark was of the Catholic faith. He loved his family, especially his wife, mother, and dog Bailey. Mark will be dearly missed by everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; mother, Barbara; sisters- Kathy J. Antieau and her husband John of Pembroke Pines, FL; Debra A. Kapfhammer and her significant other, Ronald Taylor of Palm Bay, FL; brother-in-law, Raul Martinez of Homestead, FL; mother-in-law, Gail R.N. Schreiber of Allentown PA; brothers-in-law- Thomas W. Schreiber Jr. of Allentown, PA; Keith A. Schreiber of Viera, FL; sister-in-law, Alane C. VanBenschoten and her husband Greg of Greentown, PA; nieces and nephews- Jessica, Rene, Cindy, Leah, Raul, Armando, Danielle, Jenna, Joseph, Jonathan, Duane, Jacob, Kyle and Gregory; also, 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Kentucky, and friends in Pennsylvania and Florida. Mark was predeceased by his father, Joseph K. Kapfhammer; sister, Lisa G. Martinez; and father-in-law, Thomas W. Schreiber Sr.
Services: A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown 18106 with the funeral service at 5:30 pm. A Memorial mass will also be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Chapel (www.stpatrickchurch.org), 13591 Prosperity Farms Rd., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. With interment on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery (Home – Our Lady Queen of Peace (ourqueen.org)), 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
