MaryAnn E. Hlubik March 27, 1939 - May 31, 2021

MaryAnn E. Hlubik, 82, of Allentown, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was the wife of John C. Hlubik. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in December 2020. Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Nickolas M. and Sophia (Lesnikasky) Oliver. MaryAnn was a 1957 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic H.S. and was also a graduate of Bethlehem Vo-Tech. She worked as an LPN for 38 years before retiring in 1996. She worked at Allentown General Hospital, Holy Family Manor of Bethlehem and was a Private Duty nurse for many years. Mrs. Hlubik was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Orefield. She was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and loved following the Iron Pigs. MaryAnn loved to travel as much as she enjoyed her KING Crab Legs! She enjoyed going to the casinos, especially in Las Vegas. She was a member of the Breakfast Club at the Bull and Bear. MaryAnn was happiest when she was following her children and grandchildren’s activities.

Survivors: Husband, John; Daughter: M. Rose Hlubik and her husband Daniel J. LaBombard of Palmerton; Son: John Michael Hlubik of Allentown and his significant other Cynthia Sorrentino; Granddaughter: Krysten Tyrell and her husband Michael; Great-grandson: Logan John Tyrell; Granddaughter: Rebecca Hottenstein and her husband Herbert; Great-granddaughter: Cheyanna Hottenstein; Sister: Gloria Miller of Shenandoah. MaryAnn is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
