Michael C. Mohrey April 15, 1952 - February 26, 2026

Michael C. Mohrey, 73, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his residence.  Born April 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Mark and Sadie (Appel) Mohrey.  He was the husband of Christine A. (Brechka) Mohrey, with whom he would’ve shared 41 years of marriage this May. Michael was a life-long resident of the City of Allentown, as well as working as a backhoe driver for 36 years being employed by the city.  In his spare time, Michael loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golfing.  He also loved all aspects of racecars, including watching them, working on them, and even driving them.  Above all, Michael loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.

In addition to his wife Chris, Michael is survived by his sisters, Donna Mohrey, and Susan Mohrey (Stephen), Sister-in-law Joette (Keith) and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brother Keith.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 20,  2026 at 10:00 AM at Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA 18106.  A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 AM.
