Naomi R. David March 3, 1923 - January 20, 2023
Naomi R. “Grandma” David, 99, of Allentown, most recently a resident of Fellowship Community, Whitehall, packed her bags and moved to Heaven on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was the wife of the late Willard W. David. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Kuehn) Ruch. She attended nursing school and later in life was employed as a sewing machine operator at various clothing factories. A member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Naomi was active in its Sunday school nursery for many years and also volunteered at the Allentown Rescue Mission store. When she lived in Allentown, the neighborhood kids would visit her front porch to talk with “Grandma.” She was also nicknamed “Grandma” while at Fellowship. Naomi would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment in heaven. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, an eternal home with Jesus and family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, smiling and laughing to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She now lives in a mansion (John 14:2-3) where she is quite busy on her new front porch. Survivors: daughter, Linda M. Kreitz and husband, Timothy D. Reynolds; grandchildren, Ashley and Keith Kreitz; nieces; nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Glenn W. David, sisters, Ruth Rush and Joyce Wagner, and brothers, Aaron and Charles, Jr. Services: 12:30 PM Saturday in Zentz Center at Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Dr. Call 11:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to Fellowship Community, 18052. Please include “Staff Education Fund” on memo line.
