Nina E. Swindells February 9, 1921 - February 19, 2024

Nina E. Swindells, 103, formerly of Emmaus, passed away at her residence at Lifequest-Quakertown on February 19, 2024. She was the wife of John J. Swindells, Jr., with whom she shared 38 years before his death in 1987. Born in Wescosville, she was the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Mary R. (Kistler) Schoenly. She graduated from Allentown High School, Class of 1939. She would then go on to work at Mack Trucks for 35 years, before retiring in 1978. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s U.C.C., Trexlertown, PA.

She is survived by two nephews, Sterling Eckert, of Quakertown, John Eckert of Gravette, Arkansas, three nieces, Janet Gruver of Telford, Kathryn Bolig of Pennsburg, and Susan Petticoffer of Sellersville. She is also survived by her goddaughter, Debbie Sholly of Souderton, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Edward. and two sisters, Lillian Eckert and Mieda Levan.

Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA, 18106 at 10:00 AM. A calling hour will be held prior to the service, from 9-10.
