Pastor Robert M. Daneker November 25, 1938 - November 18, 2017

Pastor Robert M. Daneker, Sr. 78, of Allentown, passed away, Saturday November 18, 2107 in his home.  He was the husband of Barbara A. (Wehr) Daneker.  They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last June. Robert was born in Palmerton a son of the late Matthew and Mildred (Dunbar) Daneker.  He was the grandson of the late Amos Daneker. Pastor Daneker served the Cetronia E.C. Church, Bethesda E.C. Church, Reedsville, PA, Christ (Boulevard) E.C. Church, Allentown, Lancaster Grace Church, Lancaster after which he was elected District Superintendent of the E.C. Denomination.  He served in the capacity overseeing 65 churches in the district.  In 1996 he, his wife, Barbara and four other couples started a new church- Hope Community in Fogelsville, PA. Pastor Daneker retired in 2008 after serving in the ministry for 50 years.

Survivors: Wife; Son, Robert, Jr. pastor of Horizon Church, Allentown and his wife Donna; Daughter, Laurie and her husband Kenneth Kuhns of Schnecksville; Son, James and his wife Anita of Spring Hill, TN; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Hope Community Church 7974 Claussville Road, Fogelsville. Call 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. Friday in the church.
