Patricia R. Mugavero October 13, 1942 - September 25, 2024

Patricia Ruth Mugavero, 81, born and raised in Allentown, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in Jewel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She was the wife of Thomas L. Mugavero. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in June 2024. Patricia was the daughter of the late Edwin and Betty (Mantz) Appel. Pat was a loving, selfless person with many friends and family that she cared about deeply. She had a special relationship with God. She was an active parishioner of the St. Thomas More Parish and was actively involved with their woman’s knitting group that generously made hats for younger cancer patients and prayer shawls for the sick. She was the oldest of four children. Pat was 5 when she welcomed her triplet brothers into the family. Upon graduation from William Allen High School, Pat started working at Bell Telephone and went on to be the manager of the St. Thomas More School’s cafeteria. Later she transitioned her career to be a successful medical technician at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, for well over 15 years.

Survivors: Husband, Thomas; Sons: Scott Mugavero and his wife Cyndi of Emmaus; Daniel Mugavero of Delray Beach, FL; Granddaughters: Alyssa Mugavero and Ashlyn Mugavero. Pat was predeceased by her parents as well as her brothers Donald Appel, Dennis Appel and David Appel.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown 18103.
