Paul L. Yannes, 86, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Sacred Heart Senior Living, Center Valley, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of MaryAnn (Zeleznock) Yannes, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage last April.  Paul was born in Nuremberg, PA, the son of the late Frank A. and Florence (Nicolodi) Yannes. He served four years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, and received an Honorable Discharge.  Paul was employed as a tool and dye maker for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for 35 years before retiring.  He was a member of The Cathedral of St. Catherine of Siena, Allentown.  Paul was one of the founders of the South Parkland Youth Association where he coached for many years. He enjoyed hunting, reading, gardening, stained glass, walking, and, most of all, tinkering in his basement workshop. Paul placed a high priority on the value of higher education and passed that on to his family.  He will be remembered as being very inquisitive and having a great sense of humor, with the ability to connect with everyone he met.
