Peggy Ann Lurwick Freeman December 31, 1932 - July 21, 2022

Peggy Ann Freeman, 89, of South Whitehall Township, passed away at home on July 21, 2022. She was the wife of Gene Freeman for the past 41 years and was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence L. Lurwick. She was the daughter of Harry and Edith Dull. Peggy Ann was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed as a phlebotomist for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Allentown, where she was a regular volunteer and attended Bible Study. She was an active member of the Red Hats, loved book club and volunteered at the soup kitchen and Meals on Wheels. In addition to her husband, she will be missed dearly by her son, Larry (Patty); daughter, Anne (John), and beloved grandchildren, Samantha and Tim. Peggy Ann was blessed with an extended family – two brothers-in-law (Tony and Tommy), stepchildren (Regina, Mark and Jonathan), grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Peggy Ann was also blessed with a tremendous group of caregivers (Pam, Kya, Kiki, Carol, Yassie, and Raquel). Peggy Ann lived life to its fullest and truly brought joy to all she met. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later point in time.
