Peter Peczenij July 12, 1940 - November 11, 2025

Peter Peczenij, 85, of Breinigsville, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Judith Anne (Brichta) Peczenij, his beloved partner in life for 62 wonderful years.

Born in Vishnivchik, Ukraine, Peter was the son of the late Lauro and Katherina (Hrabik) Peczenij. He spent his early years in Mittenwald, Germany, before immigrating to the United States in 1950 aboard a troop ship from Bremen — a journey that marked the beginning of a new life for him and his family.

Peter worked as a dedicated and hardworking truck driver for more than 30 years with Tartan and, later, with Sysco Foods, retiring in 1999. He was known for his honesty, quick wit and the quiet strength he brought to every part of his life.

Above all, Peter was a family man. He loved spending time with those he cherished most and took great pride in his son, Michael, and his wife, Christina, of Nazareth, and in his two grandsons, Brandon and Justin, of Allentown. His grandsons were the light of his life and he never missed a chance to share a story, a laugh or a lesson with them.

Pete loved watching football and many other sports on TV and he remained an avid weightlifter for more than 50 years — a testament to his determination and vitality.

Peter will be remembered for his kindness, perseverance and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

A private family service will be held to honor Peter’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to remember him do so by spending time with loved ones or sharing a kind act in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to HEINTZELMAN – STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, P. C.
