Raymond A. “Ray” Sannie June 13, 1931 - January 9, 2018

Raymond A. “Ray” Sannie, 86, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Waldron) Sannie.  Ray was born in Hazleton a son of the late Stephen and Susan (Tomko) Sannie.  He was employed by PPL for 42 years before retiring as a controller/systems operations in 1993. Ray was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Allentown. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Ray coached his son’s Little League baseball teams for the Grandlawn Baseball Association. Ray enjoyed attending local high school sporting events and was an avid Iron Pigs fan.

Survivors: Sons, Raymond J. Sannie of Lower Macungie and Curt N. Sannie of Allentown; daughter, Lynn S. wife of Robert Yocum of Allentown; brother, Stephen Sannie of Hazle Village, PA; sisters, Marian Kalinchak of Harrisburg, Teresa A. wife of Peter C. Minzola of Gilbertsville, Suzanne D. wife of Kermit “Mickey” Hinkle of Weatherly; grandchildren, Gabrielle wife of Thomas Todd, Brady Yocum and Isabel J. Sannie.  He was pre-deceased by his brother John Sannie.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 12^th, to be preceded by a viewing from 10:00 – 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1046 West Cedar Street, Allentown. Call from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Thursday in the Stephens funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Drums. www.stephensfuneral.com.
