Reno J. Marcante October 5, 1924 - October 9, 2018

Reno J. Marcante entered eternal life on Tuesday, after passing away in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Reno was the son of John Peter Marcante, and Elda Beltrame of Allentown. Reno was predeceased by daughter Nannette and wife Marie Marcante, to whom he was married for almost fifty years. Reno is survived by son John Marcante, wife Lynda, of Upper Macungie and his grandchildren Anthony, Jason, and Nicholas. He is also survived by grandchildren Michael and Tiffany Kelly, both of Philadelphia, whom he and Marie raised after the death of their mother. Also surviving Reno is son Reno M. Marcante of Alburtis. Reno served honorably in World War II in the United States Navy, earning three battle stars. In addition, Reno was employed as a maintenance mechanic by Mack Trucks for over thirty years before retiring in the early eighties. Moreover Reno loved playing softball throughout most of his life, for organizations such as Jordan ACC. He was a faithful member of the Italian Club in Allentown where he enjoyed many good times with friends. He also served as an assistant baseball coach with South Parkland Youth Association under Lee Butz, which he found rewarding, as well as enjoyable. Reno was a dedicated family man, hard worker, and compassionate human being, who will be missed very much, but will remain in their hearts forever. Reno was a member of St. Catherine’s Church in Allentown.

Calling hours only on Saturday, October 13th, from 7 to 8:30 PM, at Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road in Allentown.
