Richard H. Woodring, Jr. October 22, 1940 - August 17, 2018

Richard H. Woodring, Jr., 77, of Center Valley, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Richard H. Woodring, Sr. and Hilda L. (Paul) Woodring. He was born on October 22, 1940 in Bethlehem, PA. He attended Southern Lehigh High School, and graduated from Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia. Dick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in nature with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Hiawatha Hunting and Fishing Club, the Coopersburg Lions Club, the Masonic Lodge #469, Coopersburg Historical Society and the Manzanedo Rod and Gun Club. Dick owned and operated Woodring Realty for over 20 years and played a key role in real estate in the Lehigh Valley for 47 years. He was a member of Faith U.C.C. in Center Valley. Dick was diagnosed in 2017 with leukemia, which he courageously fought for 12 months. He enjoyed working and worked up until last week.

Survivors: Children: Katherine Whetsell and her husband Daniel of Center Valley, Richard and his wife Melissa of Center Valley, Jessica Stoelting and her husband James of Greenville, SC; Grandchildren: Tyler Jacoby, Will Woodring and Chase Woodring of Center Valley; Gabrielle Stoelting and Jaime Stoelting of Greenville, SC; Heather Benning and her husband Brandon, Brendan Whetsell and his wife Caela and Breanna Markham and her husband Tom of Binghamton, NY; and 5 great grandchildren; Sister: Virginia Haller and her husband Emery of Bethlehem.

Services: Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:30 am at Faith U.C.C., 5992 Route 378, Center Valley 18034. A Masonic Service will be held at 6 pm Friday, followed by a calling time from 6:15 to 8 pm Friday and 9 to 10:30 am Saturday, all in the church. Burial to follow in Friedens Cemetery in Center Valley. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfuneral.com.
