Richard P. Kozakiewicz November 2, 1944 - November 9, 2025

Richard P. Kozakiewicz, 81, of Macungie, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Carol (Mittura) Kozakiewicz to whom he was married 53 years. Born in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey on November 2, 1944, Richard was the son of the late Peter A. and Harriet (Dzubeck) Kozakiewicz. He faithfully and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He was a technician for the former Bell Laboratories for 32 years before retiring in 2001 at Lucent Technologies. Richard was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Emmaus.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Carol; son, Joshua S. Kozakiewicz of Macungie; brothers, John Kozakiewicz of Orlando, Florida, Paul Kozakiewicz of Colonia, New Jersey; sisters, Mary Lou Vit of Woodridge, New Jersey, Aniela Jablonski of Alpharetta, Georgia; sisters in law- Iris Dolgos of Allentown, Joan Lipsky of Allentown; many nieces and nephews.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025 at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street, Emmaus. Family and friends may pay their respects 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church. The Heintzelman – Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
