Robert J. Bodner April 9, 1939 - January 1, 2021

Robert J. Bodner, 81, of Cetronia passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Elaine J. (Heber) Bodner. They were married for 57 years last June.  Robert was born in Allentown a son of the late Michael and Ethel (Moyer) Bodner. He was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1957. Robert was a Piping Design and Plant Layout Draftsman for various companies in the Lehigh Valley including Mack Trucks, Merck, Proctor and Gamble and most recently Air Products before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catherine of Siena. Robert was an active volunteer for the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, where he was known for providing festive and cheerful music. He was a past member of the PA National Guard and the Knights of Columbus. Robert loved woodworking and tending to his yard and his garden. His greatest joy came from attending and supporting his grandsons in their activities and sporting events.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Elaina M. and her husband Robert Hahn of Schnecksville; son, Michael R. and his wife Lorinne Bodner of Coplay; brother, Richard and his wife Donna Bodner of Allentown; sister, Eleanor Kloss of Gilbertsville; grandsons, Robert Hahn and his fiancé Hillary Atkinson and James Hahn. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Ellen Lake.
