Robert M. Drexinger April 8, 1931 - November 19, 2017

Robert M. Drexinger, of Orefield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters, on Sunday, November 19, 2017. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 8, 1931, to Martin and Catherine (Becker) Drexinger. He recently celebrated 60 years of marriage to Louise Kuren Drexinger. He graduated from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and was a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a senior engineer after 28 years at Western Electric/Lucent. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church where he served as a lector and Eucharistic minister for 35 years.

Survivors: Beloved wife and family: Daughters: Linda and her husband, John Durishin, and Susan and her husband, Michael Aboulhouda. Sons: Robert and his wife Sandra, James and his wife Laura, and David. Grandchildren: Brendyn, John Byron and Colyn Durishin, Michael and Catharine Aboulhouda, Jocelyn and Taylor Drexinger, and Sarah and Adam Drexinger. Brothers: Thomas and Donald Drexinger.

Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Smith and Rev. Msgr. Robert Wargo will concelebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Orefield, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
