Robert W. “Bob” Horvath March 27, 1939 - April 13, 2024

Robert W. “Bob” Horvath, 85, of Emmaus, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Fay Ann (Schmidt) Horvath. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in August 2023. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Geza “Bill” and Althea (Grasley) Horvath. Bob was a graduate of Allentown H.S., class of 1957. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State. Bob was the former President and CEO of D. Duncan Autos, Inc. Previously, he was a staff design engineer for Aldrich Pump, the chief engineer at Raytex Chemical, and manager of project engineering, manager of engineering and VP of Manufacturing at Fermentation Design Corp. Bob was a Registered Professional Engineer in PA. He was a volunteer for many organizations. This included being past VP of Wescosville Business Center, chairman of Lower Macungie Twp. Zoning Hearing Board, past member of the advisory committee of Lehigh County Vocational Technical School, and board member of Crescent Beach Condominiums at Marco Island, FL. Bob and his wife, Fay Ann enjoyed traveling and they visited every continent except Antarctica. He was a founding member of St. Thomas More Church, Allentown.

Survivors: Wife, Fay Ann; Sons: Michael J. and his wife LuAnn of Orefield, Eric W. and his wife Georgette of Orefield; Grandchildren: Nicole and Ryan; Sister: Judy Ambandos of Allentown.
